The next book will be based on my color families and hopefully will be available in 2010 if the author can squeeze in some writing time!!!
Finally finished! The last part was the best! I filled the nest with feathers, unspun wool, fabric, yarn, and raffia.
My husband Don has this week's message-- Happy Saint Patrick's Day and "Top of the Morning on Tuesday. We are both Irish--- I come from Tourmakeady and Don's family from Dublin. I am a dual citizen and we are headed to Ireland for a long vacation this summer. I may have a hard time coming back!!! I wish everyone at least one visit some day! Slainte to you all!

My Painting, Two Hearts was accepted in the Maryland Hall Biennial Exhibition of watercolors by the Annapolis Watercolor Club here in Annapolis, Maryland. The exhibit runs until April 19 and is located on the second floor, Chaney Gallery. The Annapolis watercolor's site is www.annapoliswatercolorclub.org
This painting is a good example of negative painting which I love.
Chryl Kaisler finished her pillow!!! This is color family #1. I can say, because I'm the teacher, that she did a fantastic job! See the close up.
My fall Nest is coming along. The entire background has to be hooked before the fun part of adding the nest can be done. The last step will be feathers, twigs, yarn, unspun wool and a little fabric!
This was a wonderful workshop with the ladies of southern Virginia. On the left our entire group-- in the middle me and Joan Motley with a pattern converted from a log cabin to a yellow country cottage--and my best friend Robin on the right. Robin arranged the workshop. She also has a great blog at http:fortheloveoffiber.typepad.com. I hope we proved that pictorial rugs are not that difficult. If any of you are reading this, I expect to see some finished rugs!!!!!
